Sonobe

Hi readers,

Today is the 6th day of fasting and I am feeling great today. As i promise to a friend to make a tutorial or maybe a compilation of tutorials of how to make sonobe ball. It is the simplest modular origami that will turn paper to a cube or a ball and can be made in various combination.


That is not me !!!! Just wanna show the huge sonobe

The Sonobe module is a unit used to build modular origami, created by Mitsonobu Sonobe. Each individual unit is folded from a square sheet of paper, of which only one face is visible in the finished module; many ornamented variants of the plain Sonobe unit that expose both sides of the paper have been designed.

Ok, boring and know the fun part is how to fold one unit:

The unit can be fold in many variation as this Lightning Bolt is a kind of sonobe variation. You can see the variations here: Sonobe Variation.

Now the tough part is how to assemble all the units together. Salam ramadhan, Salam 1 malaysia, Salam merdeka!
Hmm, bulan ogos ni byk btl peristiwa yg berlaku samaada secara dirncg atau tidak. Cnthnya bln ni birthday my nephew & my birthday. Bln puasa & merdeka pun bln ni. X sbr nak tgk perarakan dlm bln puasa ni. Antara yg x dirncg pula, kerja berduyun tiba, meeting sana sini & plan nak pi lwtn lg. Hmm, ingat bln puasa ni makin kurang aktiviti, tp :-( Ingat nak mogok ja.
Anyway, gmbr kat atas tu the latest origami project aku dr buku Origami Rings & Wreaths by Tomoko Fuse. Buku ni beli kat klcc minggu lps. Bg aku, buku ni mmg best sbb ada 28 jenis rings yg blh buat & yg pntg pengarang dia Tomoko Fuse, seorg origamist yg hebat. Klu nak tgk ring yg lain, tunggu...

Rainbow boxes

Although time fly by so quickly this month, i manage to fold this colourful boxes while watching tv couple of nights before. 7 boxes of 7 colours of the rainbow, aren't they look wonderful?

Purple Origami Lotus

Dear readers,
Hmm, this is my 1st attempt on lotus that i have seen on youtube. I did the 1st layer of the petals too near to the centre of the flower make the flower seem newly bloom. May be next time i fold it, it will look bloom nicely like a real lotus. If u all wanna try to fold it just search for 'origami lotus' in youtube.com. That's all, bye.

Plants vs Zombie

A friend of mine introduce to me a game called Plants vs Zombie. It is an interesting tower defense video game developed and published by PopCap Games.

Plants vs. Zombies sees players placing down different types of plants, each with their own unique offensive or defensive capabilities, across the front lawn, back lawn, and roof of a house in order to stop a horde of zombies from devouring the brains of the residents living inside.

I became addicted to it already because of the uniqueness of the game and the level of difficulty which keep increasing. Now i finished all the game but still want to achieve more in the endless game which have no end to it.
